TYCO
HISTORY
After the disappearance of Exin in 1993, the manufacturing license in Spain passed to Tyco. Tyco Industries Inc. was an important American toy company with a presence in Spain since the previous year. The change of ownership also represented a change in strategy, prioritizing productivity over quality. Notable contributions include the commercialization of truck models for the first time as well as the creation of the Scalextric Club. In 1997 Tyco was absorbed by the multinational Mattel and closed its chapter in Scalextric.
