In 2005, Tecnitoys commercialized a new Peugeot 206 model with reference 6172. Like the previous versions, it came with four-wheel drive powered by a dual-axle motor, a guide with automatic return system, and front and rear LED lights. The model in white and green color with #39 featured the Criterium del Berguedà decal and the names of Barroso and Maldonado on the rear windows. Tecnitoys reproduced the real car that participated in that event with its reference model 6172.

El Peugeot 206 presentado oficialmente en 1999 marcó un salto radical respecto a sus predecesores presentando evoluciones mecánicas significativas. En el año 2004 EL equipo oficial ya compitió con el nuevo Peugeot 307, aunque muchos equipos siguieron compitiendo con el 206. Ese año Óscar Barroso y David maldonado consiguieron acabar el 33 Critèrium del Berguedà en la posición 20, pilotando un Peugeot 206 XS de la ecudería Gamace MC Competición. Este coche fue reproducido por Tecnitoys en su modelo referencia 6172.
