The Fiat 131 Abarth was the car with which Fiat dominated the World Rally Championship in the late 1970s, winning the manufacturers' titles in 1977, 1978, and 1980. Prepared by Abarth based on the 131 Mirafiori, it was fitted with a 2.0-liter 16-valve engine and rear-wheel drive, producing around 230 hp and weighing under 1,000 kg. Pablo de Sousa and Pedro García, driving a Fiat 131 Abarth, took second place at the IX Talavera Rally in 1982, only beaten by Beny Fernández's Porsche 911. For its reference U10549S300, SCX based this model on that real Fiat 131 Abarth.
