In September 2003, Altaya launched the PRO collection, comprising 60 instalments and 6 cars: 4 supplied with the instalments and 2 exclusive to subscribers. Deliveries continued until January 2005. This Subaru Impreza featured four-wheel drive powered by a double-ended motor, front and rear lights using optical transmission, and a guide with double pickup braids. Finished in blue and carrying race number 7, it bears the names Solberg and Mills on the rear side window and a Monte Carlo Rally decal. Altaya reproduced the Subaru that competed in Monte Carlo in 2003.

Petter Solberg and Phil Mills competed in the 2003 Monte Carlo Rally in a Subaru Impreza S9 WRC ’03, but were unable to finish after leaving the road and hitting a tree. Altaya reproduced this car for its PRO collection. The Impreza WRC 2003 (S9) introduces the stiffer, lighter “blobeye” chassis, optimised suspension and differentials, and revised engine management delivering a stronger mid-range response, making it clearly more effective and consistent than the previous 2001–2002 Impreza WRC models.
