Xsara

In September 2003, Altaya launched the PRO collection, comprising 60 instalments and 6 cars: 4 supplied with the instalments and 2 exclusive to subscribers. Deliveries continued until January 2005. This Citroën Xsara featured four-wheel drive powered by a double-ended motor, front and rear lights using optical transmission, and a guide with double pickup braids. Finished in red and white with a snow effect and race number 19, it carries the names C. Sainz and M. Martí on the rear side windows and a Monte Carlo Rally decal. In 2003, Tecnitoys released the same car under reference 6122; both reproduce the car that competed in Monte Carlo in 2003.

The Citroën Xsara WRC made its debut in 2001 as the first rally car developed entirely by Citroën Sport for the World Rally Championship. Equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, four-wheel drive and a sequential gearbox, it stood out for its balance and reliability. Carlos Sainz and Marc Martí finished third in the 71st Monte Carlo Rally in 2003, driving a Citroën Xsara WRC for the Citroën Total WRT team. Altaya based its PRO collection model on this car, probably adding the auxiliary light pod on the nose.
