Carlos Sainz (aged 20) and his co-driver Juanjo Lacalle competed in this SEAT 1430 FU-1800 at the XII Rally Santa Teresa in 1982. It was a privately owned car rented specifically for that race, fitted with an unusual 16-valve engine, something very rare in a SEAT of that era. Sainz dominated the early stages despite his young age, but a mechanical failure forced him to retire on the 3rd special stage. Even without finishing the event, that performance revealed Sainz's exceptional talent to fans and experts alike. The vehicle, with licence plate LO-3750-B and race number 4, was sponsored by Ivarte and served as the model for Fábrica de Juguetes' reference A10195S300.
