MGA

En 2012, su último año de comercialización de modelos de Scalextric, Tecnitoys presentó una nueva versión del MGA con referencia A10089S300. El modelo viene con tracción trasera, luces led delanteras y traseras y guía con sistema de retorno automático y trencilla doble. En color verde y #33, no reproduce un coche de rally sino el MGA con el que Lund y Escott corrieron las 24 horas de Le Mans en 1959.

The MG MGA was a British sports car produced by MG between 1955 and 1962. It was a lightweight roadster with a four-cylinder engine of 1.5 to 1.6 litres and rear-wheel drive, known for its fine balance between performance and handling. Thanks to its lightness and reliability, it was used by numerous private teams in European rallies in the late 1950s. At Le Mans 1959, Ted Lund and Colin Escott competed with number 33 and retired after 21 hours due to transmission and gearbox problems. The real car was an MG A Twin Cam, a higher-performance version of the MGA with a twin-cam engine and a clearly sporting character. Tecnitoys chose this car for its model A10089S300.
