In 2012, its final year of marketing Scalextric models, Tecnitoys launched this new version of the Renault 8, in this case the TS variant, with reference A10069S300. The model came with rear-wheel drive, front and rear LED lights, and a self-centring guide with double braid. In yellow, white and black, it carries the number #2, the Rallye de Talavera decal, and the names of I. Rueda and JM. Ezquerro on the chassis. Tecnitoys reproduced the car that competed in the Rally in 1975.

The Renault 8 TS was a lightweight sporting version of the R8, with a rear-mounted engine producing around 55–60 bhp, and was very popular throughout the 1970s. Thanks to its low cost and ease of preparation, it became one of the most widely used cars among privateer drivers in regional rallies, particularly in Spain. With mechanical upgrades it could perform significantly better, proving highly competitive on technical stages despite its modest power output. This Tecnitoys model, reference A10069S300, is based on the real car that took part in the 1975 Rallye de Talavera, driven by Ignacio "Chichi" Rueda with José Manuel Ezquerro as co-driver; this particular car had previously been an official FASA Renault works car, driven by José Pavón.
