In 2011, Tecnitoys released two versions of a previously unseen model: the MGA. Both came with rear-wheel drive powered by an RK41 motor, front and rear LED lights, and a guide with automatic return and double braid. This MGA Cabriolet model, reference A10032S300, in white and open-top, bearing the number #187, carries the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique livery, the name of driver François Carlotti on the sides, and the inscription "Barcelone" — the city from which it departed. Tecnitoys based the model on the real car that competed in that rally in 2000. The MGA is one of the few open-top roadsters represented in Scalextric with rally decoration, as most historic rally cars were saloons or coupés.

The MG MGA was a British sports car produced by MG between 1955 and 1962. It was a lightweight roadster with a four-cylinder engine of 1.5 to 1.6 litres and rear-wheel drive, known for its fine balance between performance and handling. Thanks to its lightness and reliability, it was used by numerous private teams in European rallies in the late 1950s. François Carlotti and Laurent Wrzonski competed in the 2000 Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique in an MGA Cabriolet #187. In that edition, participants followed the classic "concentration rally" format, setting off from different European cities before converging in the Alps and finishing in Monaco. This multiple-start system has been a feature of the rally since its earliest days. In their case, they departed from Barcelona. Tecnitoys reproduced that car for its reference A10032S300.
