In 2011, Tecnitoys, under reference A10025S300, released a new version of the Citroën DS — in this case the Series 19, unlike the Series 21 models marketed the previous year. Like those, it came with rear-wheel drive, front and rear LED lights, and a guide rail with automatic return system and double braid. In orange with a white roof, it carries number #176 and Monte-Carlo Rally decals. Tecnitoys reproduced the car driven by Paul Coltelloni, Pierre Alexandre and Claude Desrosiers in that rally in 1959.

The Citroën DS 19 was the first version of the DS and also had a notable presence in rallying in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It was fitted with a 1.9-litre four-cylinder engine producing around 75–83 hp, less powerful than the later DS21, but sufficient thanks to its effective front-wheel drive. Its great advantage was the self-levelling hydropneumatic suspension, which gave it exceptional stability on snowy or very rough roads. Thanks to this, it achieved important results, including victory at the 1959 Monte-Carlo Rally with Paul Coltelloni, Pierre Alexandre and Claude Desrosiers . In the 1959 Monte Carlo Rally, each team could enter up to three drivers per car, who took turns at the wheel during the rally's long stages.
