In 1996 Tyco marketed two new versions of the Subaru Impreza with references 8385 and 8395. Like the previous models, both came with lights and four-wheel drive through a dual-axle motor. This model reference 8395 in dark blue with #1 features "))) SUBARU" livery and decals from the Swedish rally and drivers McRae / Ringer who carried #1 in the 1996 Swedish Rally as the reigning 1995 champions.

The Subaru Impreza 555 was born in 1993 when the Subaru team debuted in the World Rally Championship with a new blue and yellow livery, along with main sponsor State Express 555. The car was an evolution of the Impreza WRX 4WD developed by Prodrive according to Group A regulations. In the 1996 Swedish rally, Colin McRae and Derek Ringer obtained third position with a blue Subaru Impreza, #1 with the "555" tobacco brand livery. Tyco was inspired by this car for its model although for legal reasons it had to replace "555" with ")))".
