Ibiza Kit Car

In 1996 Tyco launched a new model, the Seat Ibiza Kit Car, in two versions with references 8375 and 8390. Both came without lights and with rear-wheel drive. This model in pistachio green color, #6 and "REPSOL" livery carries reference 8375. The car comes with the Monte Carlo Rally decal and the names Puras / Del Barrio. It is clearly inspired by the car that with those drivers ran in Monte Carlo in 1996.

SEAT Sport, directed by Jordi Servià and with support from the Volkswagen Group, developed a competition version based on the Seat Ibiza II (1993-1999): the Seat Ibiza Kit Car. The car debuted in 1995 and quickly became a reference within the category. In the 1996 Monte Carlo Rally, Chus Puras and Carlos del Barrio ran with one of these cars but had to retire due to engine failure. The "REPSOL" livery of this car was reproduced by Tyco in their model.
