In 1991 Exin launched two new versions of the BMW M3, with references 8339 and 8340. Like the previous models they came with an enclosed motor with rear-wheel drive. In this case with lights. This model reference 8339 in white-blue color with #4 and "Blaupunkt" tampographies is inspired by the car with which Bassas/Rodríguez won the Rally Príncipe de Asturias in 1988, although Exin did not print either the drivers' names or the rally name on the model.

El coche real BMW M3 basado en el E30, monta un 4 cilindros S14 DOHC de 16 válvulas (2,3–2,5 L) con 200–238 CV en las versiones de calle, pudiendo llegar a 300 CV a ~8.000 rpm para los motores S14 de competición. En el rally Principe de Asturias de 1989, Pep Bassas y Antonio Rodríguez consiguieron la primera posición con un BMW M3 muy parecido al modelo de Exin, que claramente lo tomó como inspiración.
