During 1997 Tyco launched as a novelty two versions of the Renault Mégane with reference 8328 and 8329. Both versions came without lights and with rear-wheel drive. This model reference 8329 with #5 "DIAC" livery comes with decals from the Tour de Corse and drivers Bugalski and Chiaroni. It is inspired by the actual car that competed in 1996.

The Renault Mégane Maxi was homologated by the FIA in 1996 (Group A). The Tyco model is a replica of the Renault Megane Maxi in which Philippe Bugalski and Jean-Paul Chiaroni achieved first position in 1996 in the Tour de Corse.
