Impreza

In 2004, Tecnitoys released two new versions of the Subaru Impreza, both corresponding to a blue "snow effect" model, with #7, a Wales Rally Great Britain livery and the names Solberg/Mills on the rear windows. The first, with reference 6149, came in an individual box, while this second one featured a black light pod and was included in the "Circuit 1000 Lakes" reference 8065. This model 8065b came with four-wheel drive powered by a dual-axle motor, front and rear LED lights, and a guide with an automatic return system. It is a replica of the real car with which Solberg and Mills raced in the 2004 Wales Rally GB. Curiously, there is a third version of the car without snow effect and off-catalogue, probably from the same year.

Petter Solberg and Phil Mills, driving a Subaru Impreza S10 WRC '04 for the 555 Subaru WRT team, won the 60th Wales Rally GB 2004. Tecnitoys replicated this car in their model 8065b, which was included in the 1000 Lakes circuit set. The Subaru Impreza WRC '04 (S10) is an evolution of the WRC '03 (S9): it retains the same base, but Prodrive revised the aerodynamics, lightened the panels and tweaked the suspension and weight distribution. It also incorporated more advanced electronics and ECU, with improved turbo management and differentials.
