In 2011, Tecnitoys released this Ford Sierra Cosworth model under reference 6483. The car is often advertised as "McRae" and is frequently mistaken for Colin McRae, but the #1 Shell-Gemini livery actually belongs to his father Jimmy McRae, winner of the 1987 Manx Rally alongside Ian Grindrod. The model features rear-wheel drive, front and rear LED lights, and a guide with automatic return and double braid. Tecnitoys based their 6483 model on the original car.

The rally Ford Sierra RS Cosworth was a Group A car with a 2.0 turbo engine producing around 300 bhp and rear-wheel drive, very fast on tarmac and high-speed stages. In the late 80s, at the height of the 4x4 era, it stood out more for its spectacular nature than for its consistency, achieving strong individual results with drivers such as Sainz or Auriol. Today it is an icon of classic rallying and of the end of the rear-wheel drive era in the World Championship. With a Ford Sierra RS Cosworth, Jimmy McRae and Ian Grindrod won the 25th Tudor Webasto Manx International Rally in 1987. This car was reproduced by Tecnitoys for their reference model 6483.
