Sunbeam Lotus

In 2009, within the Classics series, Tecnitoys marketed for the first time a Talbot Sunbeam Lotus with reference 6386. The model came with rear-wheel transmission, LED front and rear lights, and guide with automatic return and dual wiper system. In white color with "SUNBEAM" livery, it featured the #16, the Lombard Rally decal, and the names of Henri Toivonen and Paul White on the bodywork. Tecnitoys reproduced the car that competed in the Lombard Rally in 1980.

The Talbot Sunbeam Lotus was a rally compact from the late 1970s developed by Talbot with a Lotus 2.2 engine producing around 250 horsepower and rear-wheel drive. Light and very powerful for its size, it stood out for its demanding and spectacular handling. Its greatest achievement was winning the World Rally Manufacturers' Championship in 1981. Today it is considered one of the icons of the era before the technological dominance of Group B. In 1980, Henri Toivonen and Paul White achieved first place in the Lombard RAC Rally driving a Talbot Sunbeam Lotus from the Talbot Cars GB team. Tecnitoys reproduced this car for its reference model 6386.
