The Ford Escort RS Cosworth was Ford's rally car in the WRC between 1993 and 1998, derived from the Sierra Cosworth and homologated in Group A. It mounted a 2.0 turbo with all-wheel drive and stood out for its large functional rear wing. It achieved several victories in the World Championship but fell behind Subaru and Mitsubishi in overall effectiveness. Nevertheless, it had a long and successful career in national championships and is today an icon of the 90s. In 1994, Malcolm Wilson and Bryan Thomas managed to win the 32nd Manx International Rally driving a Ford Escort RS Cosworth from the Michelin Pilot Team Ford squad. Tecnitoys reproduced this car in its model 6376.
