The year 2008 was especially prolific in terms of cars, especially in the case of the Ford Escort MKII, of which Tecnitoys within the Classics Series marketed 5 different versions. All came with rear-wheel drive and front and rear LED lights. This model "Eaton Yale" reference 6357 in blue color #4 bears the Lombard Rally livery and is a replica of the Escort with which Waldegård and Thorszelius competed in that Rally in 1979.

This Tecnitoys model is a reproduction of the Ford Escort RS 1800 MKII amb el que Björn Waldegård and Hans Thorszelius achieved the ninth position in the Lombard Rally of 1979, sporting Eaton Yale sponsorship and the number 4. The Ford Escort MKII RS1800 was one of the great icons of rallying in the late 1970s. It was equipped with a 2.0 naturally-aspirated Cosworth BDA engine, rear-wheel drive, and a lightweight chassis that made it lethal on both gravel and broken asphalt sections. With it, Ford won the 1979 Constructors' World Championship and achieved many rally victories.
