Touareg

In 2008, Tecnitoys commercialized this new version of the Volkswagen Touareg with reference 6305. Like other previous models, it features four-wheel drive with a motor (RX 10.3) with dual axle, front and rear LED lights, and a guide with an articulated arm that allows it to maintain the power connection even on tracks with slopes. This model in blue color, #305, "RED BULL" livery, and the Baja Portalegre decal is a reproduction of the vehicle with which Carlos Sainz and Andreas Schulz competed in that event in 2005.

Carlos Sainz and Andreas Schulz achieved a very meritorious third position in the nineteenth edition of the Baja Portalegre event in Portugal (2005), in which Sainz made his debut as a "rally-raid" driver at the wheel of a Volkswagen Touareg 2, in preparation for the following year's Dakar. The Volkswagen Race Touareg 2 was a T1 rally-raid prototype with tubular chassis, bodywork inspired by the production Touareg, and permanent all-wheel drive. It mounted a 2.5 TDI five-cylinder diesel engine, around 275–280 horsepower, designed more for endurance and navigation than for pure speed. It was fast but still fragile, the step before the dominant Race Touareg 3.
