In 2007, Tecnitoys presented a new version of the Peugeot 206 with reference 6278. It came with four-wheel drive powered by a dual-axle motor, front and rear LED lights, and power steering with automatic return. The car, in yellow and red, #29 with "ESSO / SCALEXTRIC" livery, features the decals from the Ourense Land Rally and the names of Domingo and Garduño on the rear windows. Tecnitoys reproduced the original 2007 car for this reference 6278.

The Peugeot 206, officially presented in 1999, marked a radical leap compared to its predecessors with significant mechanical improvements. In 2004, the official team competed with the new Peugeot 307, although many teams continued to compete with the 206. In 2007, Climent Domingo and Albert Garduño, driving a Peugeot 206 RC of RACC Motorsport, participated in the 2007 Ourense Land Rally, but were unable to finish after the car's transmission axle broke. Tecnitoys used this car as the model for its reference 6278.
