Touareg

In 2007, within the "Off Road" category, Tecnitoys commercialized a new version of the Volkswagen Touareg with reference 6277. The model features four-wheel drive with a dual-axle motor (RX 10.3), front and rear LED lights, and a guide with an articulated arm that allows it to maintain electrical connection even on uneven terrain tracks. This model, numbered #313, bears the livery of the Lisbon-Dakar rally and is a replica of the car driven by Sousa and Schulz in 2007.

The Volkswagen Race Touareg 2 was a T1 rally-raid prototype with a tubular chassis, bodywork inspired by the production Touareg, and permanent all-wheel drive. It mounted a 2.5 TDI five-cylinder diesel engine, around 275–280 HP, designed more for endurance and navigation than for pure sprint performance. It was fast but still fragile, a precursor to the dominant Race Touareg 3. Carlos Sousa and Andreas Schulz, driving a Touareg 2, achieved seventh place in the 2007 Lisbon-Dakar Rally. Tecnitoys used this vehicle as the model for its reference 6277.
