In 2007, within the Classics Series, Tecnitoys presented the novelty of a Ford Sierra Cosworth that came with rear-wheel drive, front and rear LED lights, and a guide with automatic return system. The model with reference 6247, white and blue color and #27, features the Lombard Rally decal and the names of McRae and Ringer on the bodywork. Tecnitoys replicated the real car that competed in that Rally in 1989.

The Ford Sierra RS Cosworth rally car was a Group A with a 2.0 turbo engine of about 300 CV and rear-wheel drive, very fast on asphalt and high-speed sections. In the late 1980s, during the height of the 4x4 era, it stood out more for its spectacularity than its consistency, achieving good occasional results with drivers like Sainz and Auriol. Today it is an icon of classic rallying and the end of the "rear-engine" era in the World Championship. In 1989, Colin McRae and Derek Ringer drove the 45 Lombard RAC Rally with a Ford Sierra RS Cosworth from the RED Ford team, although they had to retire due to an accident. Tecnitoys used this car as a model for its reference 6247.
