In 2007, within the Classics Series, Tecnitoys commercialized the Maxiturbo version of the Renault 5. This model with reference 6240 came with rear-wheel drive, front and rear LED lights, and a guide with automatic return system. In dark blue, with #3 and "PHILIPS" decoration, it featured decals from the Rally Tour de Corse and the names Ragnotti and Thimonier on the bodywork. For this model, Tecnitoys was based on this real car from 1985.

The Renault 5 Maxi Turbo was the most radical evolution of the R5 Turbo for Group B in the mid-1980s, conceived almost exclusively for asphalt. It retained the 1.4 turbocharged mid-rear engine, pushed to around 300–350 horsepower, with very light weight and an extremely widened body. Jean Ragnotti and Pierre Thimonier achieved first place in the 29th Tour de Corse in 1985 driving a Renault Maxi 5 Turbo from the Elf Philips team. This car was reproduced by Tecnitoys for its 6240 model.
