In 2004, Tecnitoys commercialized a new and unpublished model, a Citroën C2 JWRC with reference 6166 which the following year was also included in the "Rally Circuit" reference 8071. The model corresponds to a C2 S1600, featuring rear-wheel drive and front and rear LED lights. In red/orange color, #1, with Avilés Rally decals and the names of M.Fuster and V.Medina on the rear windows, it reproduces the actual car that competed in that rally.

The Citroën C2 Super 1600 officially debuted in 2004 as a replacement for the Saxo Kit Car within the entry ladder to the WRC. It was equipped with a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine with around 215 horsepower, front-wheel drive, and a sequential gearbox, and was one of the dominant cars in the JWRC. Miguel Fuster and Vicente Medina in a Citroën C2 S1600 from the Citroën Sport team competed in the 28th Avilés Rally in 2004, having to retire due to an accident. Tecnotoys reproduced this car in their model reference 6166.
