In 2003, Tecnitoys commercialized a version of the Peugeot 206 with reference 6125. The model came with front and rear lights with optical transmission, four-wheel drive through a motor with double axle and a tilting guide. In silver grey color with "TOTAL" decoration and #2, it bears the Australian Rally decal and the names of Grönholm and Rautiainen on the rear windows. Tecnitoys was inspired by the real car that raced in Australia in 2002.

The Peugeot 206 represented for Peugeot the transition from front-wheel drive like the 306 Maxi to a genuine World Rally Car with all-wheel drive and a 2-liter turbocharged engine with around 300 HP. Compact, agile and technologically advanced, it introduced active differentials and carefully engineered aerodynamics, marking a radical leap compared to its predecessors. In 2002, Marcus Grönholm and Timo Rautiainen, piloting a Peugeot 206 WRC from the Peugeot Total team, won the 15th Telstra Rally Australia. This car served as the model for Tecnitoys' reference 6125.
