In 2002, Tecnitoys marketed a new version of the Peugeot 206 with reference 6109. This model came with front and rear lights with optical transmission, four-wheel drive via a double-axle motor, and a tilting guide. In silver-gray color with "TOTAL" decoration and #1, it features the Swedish Rally decal and the names Burns and Reid on the rear windows. Tecnitoys was inspired by the real car that raced in Sweden in 2002.

The Peugeot 206 represented for Peugeot the transition from front-wheel drive like the 306 Maxi to a true World Rally Car with all-wheel drive and a 2-liter turbo engine with around 300 horsepower. Compact, agile, and technologically advanced, it introduced active differentials and carefully engineered aerodynamics, marking a radical leap compared to its predecessors. In 2002, Richard Burns and Robert Reid, driving a Peugeot 206 WRC for the Peugeot Total team, achieved fourth place in the 51 Uddeholm Swedish Rally. This car served as the model for Tecnitoys' reference 6109.
