The Citroën Xsara WRC made its debut in 2001 as the first rally car developed entirely by Citroën Sport for the World Rally Championship. Equipped with a 2.0 turbo engine, all-wheel drive, and sequential gearbox, it stood out for its balance and reliability. Jesús Puras and Carlos del Barrio, driving a Citroën Xsara WRC from the Citroën Sport team, achieved 12th position in the 38th Rally Catalunya - Costa Brava - Rally of Spain in 2002. This car was replicated by Tecnitoys for the development of its model 6097.
