Xsara

In 2001 Tecnitoys launched a new model, the Citroën Xsara, in two versions with references 6074 and 6077. Both in red, with front and rear lights through optical transmission, four-wheel drive powered by a dual-axle motor. For the first time, the a.r.s guide (automatic return system) was included, which would become standard from that moment on. The model reference 6074 in red and #14 bearing the Rally Catalunya-Costa Brava decal and the names of P. Bugalski / P. Chiaroni on the rear window is a replica of the real car that raced in that Rally.

The Citroën Xsara WRC debuted in 2001 as the first rally car developed entirely by Citroën Sport for the World Rally Championship. Equipped with a 2.0 turbo engine, all-wheel drive and sequential gearbox, it stood out for its balance and reliability. In the 37th Rally Catalunya-Costa Brava, Jean Philippe Bugalski and Paul Chiaroni achieved eighth position at the wheel of a Citroën Xsara WRC from the Automobiles Citroën team, beating their teammates (Puras and Martí) who had to retire. Bugalski's red car with #14 served as the model for Tecnitoys' reference 6074. Puras' car was reproduced by Tecnitoys in its reference 6077.
