In 2000, Tecnitoys marketed two new versions of the Ford Focus with references 6050 and 6058. Both models in white with red and blue "Martini" stripes came with front and rear lights, optical transmission, four-wheel drive via a dual-axle motor and a tilting guide. This model reference 6058 carries #6, a decal from the Monte-Carlo Rally, and the names of Sainz and Moya on the rear windows, and is a reproduction of the real car that raced at Monte-Carlo 2000.

The Ford Focus RS WRC was one of the most important cars in the World Rally Championship of the early 2000s. The car was developed by M-Sport and replaced the Escort WRC. Technically it followed the World Rally Car regulations: a 2.0 turbo engine producing around 300 hp, four-wheel drive, active differentials and aerodynamics that were quite advanced for the time. In 2000, Carlos Sainz and Luis Moya finished in second place at the 2000 Monte-Carlo Rally driving a Ford Focus WRC for the Ford Motor Co. Ltd. team. Tecnitoys was inspired by this model for their reference 6058.
