Lancer

In the year 2000 Tecnitoys released a new version of the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IV with reference 6056. Like previous versions of the EVO IV, it came with front and rear lights via fiber optic transmission, four-wheel drive through a dual-axle motor and a tilting guide. The model in red, #1 and "TOMMI" tampo printing features Rally Australia decals and the names T Mäkinen / R Mannisenmäki on the rear windows. The model's livery is clearly inspired by the real car that competed in the 1999 Australian Rally, although the original was the EVO VI version.

The EVO VI represented the maximum refinement of the Lancer platform, combining all the lessons learned in competition from previous models into a more polished and effective package. The Tommi Mäkinen Edition was a special version of the Lancer Evolution VI launched in 1999-2000 to commemorate the four consecutive world championships (1996-1999) of Finnish driver Tommi Mäkinen in the WRC. Tommi Mäkinen and Risto Mannisenmäki driving a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VI from the Marlboro Mitsubishi Ralliart team, achieved third place in the 1999 Telstra Rally Australia. Tecnitoys reproduced this model's livery, although it used its EVO IV mold.
