Corolla

In 1998, Tecnitoys marketed three versions of a new model, the Toyota Corolla, with references 6007, 6008 and 6014. The model came with lights, four-wheel drive powered by a motor with double axle and the novelty of a guide with suspension. This model with reference 6007 and #5 with "CASTROL / MOVISTAR" livery bears the names of C.Sainz and L.Moya on the rear window and is a reproduction of the car that participated in the 1998 Rally Catalunya-Costa Brava, whose decal it carries on the bonnet.

In 1997 Toyota launched the Corolla WRC to replace the Celica GT-Four ST205, adapting to the new World Rally Car regulations. Shorter, more agile and with better weight distribution, it debuted at the Rally Finland and soon demonstrated great competitiveness. In 1998 Carlos Sainz and Luis Moya achieved seventh position in the 1998 Rally Catalunya-Costa Brava at the wheel of a Toyota Corolla WRC from the Toyota Castrol Team. Tecnitoys was quite faithfully inspired by this car for its model.
