In 1989 Exin echoed the successes that BMW was achieving in the rally circuit and marketed 4 versions of the BMW M3 throughout the year with references 4090 to 4093. All came with a closed rear-wheel drive motor. This red model with reference 4092 and #15, bears "Motul" livery and a decal corresponding to the 1987 Acropolis rally. The model does not represent any real car that participated in that rally.
