Between 1984 and 1986, approximately 200 units of the Ford RS 200 were produced for Group B homologation, with power between 450 and 600 HP, a 1.8-liter engine, 4 cylinders in line, turbocharged, 5-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive (4x4). The "Purolator" livery replicates Carlos Sainz's RS200 with Luis Moya in the 1988 Spanish Gravel Championship. With this car they won the RACE Avilés and La Rioja rallies and had to retire in Lloret de Mar, Toledo and Madrid. The white Purolator scheme of the 4088 matches the appearance of the real "Purolator" car, yellow panel with #3 and blue and red rear stripes. Although the Exin model doesn't carry decals from any specific event, we will take the liberty of assuming it represents the car that won the La Rioja Gravel Rally in 1988.
