In 1988, Exin marketed a new Porsche 959 model with lights and reference number 4083. The model came in three colors: white and red with "Porsche" decoration, and black with "Hertz" decoration. The same models without lights were marketed with reference number 4084. It was the first model to incorporate the RX-5 engine with four-wheel drive. This white model bears the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1986 decal and the names of drivers R. Metge and C. Ballot-Lena. There are two small manufacturing variations in the original model: the "PORSCHE" inscription on the rear spoiler appears facing forward on some units and backward on others, and the position of the drivers' names may vary slightly. Exin's reproduction is quite similar and inspired by the Porsche 961 that participated in that edition of the race, also white in color and #180.

El Porsche 959 blanco de Exin se corresponde en gran medida con el Porsche 961 que participó en las 24 Horas de Le Mans de 1986 bajo el dorsal #180. Aquel vehículo era una versión de competición derivada del 959 de serie, inscrita por el equipo oficial Porsche AG en la categoría experimental IMSA GTX.
