GTO

In 1987 with reference 4075, Exin marketed a new version of the Ferrari GTO launched the previous year with the same reference. The model featured as a novelty a compact engine (RX-2). This model in white color #2 and with "Pioneer" advertising came with the XXIV Tour de Corse decal. It is not a real model, since there is no record of the 288 GTO model participating in any WRC event, but it is probably inspired by a Ferrari 308 GTB that ran the Tour de Corse in 1982.

Jean-Claude Andruet and "Biche" achieved second place in the Tour de Corse 1982 with a Ferrari 308 GTB #12, "Pioneer" livery. Exin probably drew inspiration from this model and reproduced it on a GTO body. Despite the fact that the colors don't match completely and the number doesn't coincide either.
