GTO

In 1986 and with reference 4075, Exin marketed a Ferrari GTO model in two colors, red and white. The model featured as a novelty a compact engine (RX-2). This model in red color #9 from "Cimarron Team" came with the Rally Catalunya decal. It is not a real model, since there is no record of the 288 GTO model participating in any WRC event, but it is clearly inspired by a Ferrari 308 GTB that ran the Rally Catalunya in 1985.

In 1985 Claudio Caba and Joan Martín ran the Rally Catalunya 1985 with a Ferrari 308 GTB #9, "Cimarron Team" livery. They had to retire due to an accident. Exin clearly drew inspiration from this model and reproduced it on a GTO body.
