Patrol

In 1986, Exin marketed only one new model in the STS (Super Track System) series, which had started the previous year. It was the Nissan Patrol with reference 2203, available in dark blue, red, and yellow. Like the previous models, it was inspired by the Paris-Dakar Rally and featured four-wheel drive, powered by an open Mabuchi motor with a double shaft mounted diagonally on the chassis, which drove the crowns of both wheel axles through worm gears. The Nissan Patrol was a very popular model in the Paris-Dakar during the 1980s and 1990s, especially in the hands of private and semi-official teams, but neither the numbering nor the decoration allows us to associate Exin’s yellow versions with any specific team or edition.
