The STS series (Super Track System), sometimes labeled as STS 4x4, was a four-wheel drive (4×4) system at 1:43 scale. It was clearly inspired by the adventures of the Paris-Dakar Rally, with off-road cars prepared to run on slot tracks. The main technical innovation was the four-wheel drive, achieved through an open Mabuchi motor with a double shaft mounted diagonally on the chassis, driving the crowns of both axles through worm gears. The first cars of the series appeared in 1985. Under reference 2200, Exin marketed a Jeep CJ5 in three colors: red, yellow, and green. This white model #3 does not represent any real vehicle that took part in the Paris-Dakar Rally. Additionaly Jeep has never been a classical brand in this Rally.
