Sergio Vallejo Martínez (Meira, Lugo,Spain, 1967) is a Spanish rally driver well known on the national scene, particularly for his long career in the Spanish Tarmac Rally Championship (CERA). He began competing in the late 1980s and established himself during the 1990s as one of the most competitive drivers in the championship, initially in front-wheel-drive cars and later in higher-powered machinery. His most successful period came in the 2000s, when he became one of the leading tarmac specialists in Spain. He was crowned Spanish Tarmac Rally Champion in 2009, driving a Porsche 911 GT3 — an unusual choice compared to the more common WRC or S2000 cars, but highly effective on fast, dry stages. Throughout his career he has achieved numerous victories and podium finishes in national championship rounds, standing out especially in rallies in northern Spain such as the Rallye de Ourense, Rías Baixas and Ferrol. Vallejo has regularly competed alongside his brother Diego Vallejo, one of the most experienced co-drivers in Spain. Beyond his role as a driver, Sergio has also been involved in the preparation and management of competition teams, maintaining a constant presence in Spanish rally for more than three decades.
