Fabrizio Tabaton
Itàlia Fabrizio Tabaton (Genoa, Italy, May 16, 1955) is a former Italian rally driver, especially known for his prominent role in the European Championship during the 1980s. Linked almost throughout his career to the H.F. Grifone structure, a team connected to his family, Tabaton competed mainly with Lancia, driving iconic models such as the Lancia Rally 037, the Lancia Delta S4, and later the Delta HF 4WD. He was European Rally Championship champion in 1986 and 1988 and Italian Rally Championship champion in 1985 and 1987, establishing himself as one of the leading figures in continental rallying during the transition era between Group B and Group A. Although he had sporadic participations in the World Rally Championship, his greatest success was concentrated on European and Italian competitions. After his retirement from competition, he remained connected to motorsport through sports management and the preparation of rally vehicles.
