David Stone

David Stone is a British rally co-driver who was active mainly in the late 1960s and early 1970s. His career includes two outright Rallye Monte-Carlo victories with different drivers and manufacturers.

In 1968 he won the event alongside Vic Elford in a Porsche 911 T. Three years later, in 1971, he won Monte-Carlo again as Ove Andersson's co-driver in an Alpine-Renault A110. This second victory came before the creation of the World Rally Championship, which began in 1973. Stone later remained in contact with Andersson and took part in the contacts that brought the Swedish driver closer to Toyota.
