David Stone

David Stone is a British rally co-driver who was active mainly in the late 1960s and early 1970s. His name became linked to World history by forming a partnership with Ove Andersson, with whom he achieved outright victory in the 1971 Monte-Carlo Rally at the wheel of the legendary Alpine-Renault A110, one of the most memorable editions of the rally. Stone stood out for his precision in navigation and his composure in long and complex stages, something essential in that era, with night-time stages and starts from different cities. Although he did not have a high-profile or extensive career, his name remained forever associated with one of the great milestones of classic European rallying.
