Valentino Rossi

Valentino Rossi (Urbino, Italy, 16 February 1979) is a former Italian motorcycle racer and a car racing driver. He competed in the Motorcycle World Championship from 1996 to 2021 and won nine world titles, seven of them in the premier class. He achieved 115 Grand Prix victories and used the number 46 for virtually his entire career.

Rossi also competed in rallying. He made his WRC debut on the 2002 Rally Great Britain in a Peugeot 206 WRC. In New Zealand in 2006 he finished 11th overall in a Subaru Impreza WRC and in Great Britain in 2008 he was 12th in a Ford Focus RS WRC. He also won the Monza Rally Show seven times: 2006, 2007, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. After retiring from motorcycle racing he continued competing in GT and endurance events.
