Antonio Ponce

Antonio Ponce "Toñi" is a Spanish rally driver from Gran Canaria, closely linked to the regional Canarian championship since the late 1980s. He is considered one of the prominent names in motorsport on the islands, particularly for his sporting longevity and consistency. He competed for decades in the Campeonato de Canarias de Rallys, where he claimed several regional titles (mainly in the 1990s), establishing himself as one of the most successful drivers in the championship. His most celebrated period came behind the wheel of cars such as the BMW M3 E30, with which he achieved numerous victories and became one of the benchmarks of the championship. Throughout his career he also took part in events of the Spanish Rally Championship, although his main activity was always centred on the Canarian scene, where he enjoyed great popularity.
