← Back to drivers

Patrick Pivato (France, 1968) is a French rally co-driver known for his career in the World Rally Championship (WRC) during the 1990s and 2000s. A specialist in precise pace notes and race management, he developed much of his career alongside French and European drivers within factory and semi-factory setups. He competed in the World Championship alongside, among others, François Duval at various stages of his career, taking part in programmes with Ford and later with Citroën. During those years he participated in numerous WRC rounds, contributing to several strong results and podium finishes in the overall category. In 2005 he suffered a serious accident at the Rally Argentina while competing with Duval in a Citroën Xsara WRC. The crash left him with severe injuries that were life-threatening and marked a turning point in his sporting career. Following a lengthy recovery process, his international activity at the highest level was significantly reduced.
