Gilles Gilles

Gilles Panizzi is a French rally driver specialising in asphalt. Alongside his brother and co-driver Hervé Panizzi he became French champion in 1996 and 1997 in the Peugeot 306 Maxi.

With Peugeot he later moved into the World Rally Championship and achieved seven outright WRC victories, all on asphalt, between 2000 and 2003. He won the Tour de Corse in 2000 and 2002, Rallye Sanremo in 2000, 2001 and 2002, and Rally Catalunya in 2002 and 2003. After his period with Peugeot he also competed with Mitsubishi and Škoda. On the 2005 Rallye Monte-Carlo he finished third with Mitsubishi.
