Pat Moss-Carlsson

Pat Moss-Carlsson (1934–2008) was a British rally driver, considered one of the most outstanding women in the discipline during the 1950s and 1960s. She achieved three outright victories in international rallies and won the European Ladies' Rally Championship five times, in 1958, 1960, 1962, 1964 and 1965. Her most celebrated period came with BMC, when she won the 1962 Tulip Rally at the wheel of a Mini Cooper, having previously triumphed in the gruelling Liège-Rome-Liège of 1960 in an Austin-Healey 3000. She also recorded impressive results in highly prestigious events such as the RAC Rally, the Acropolis and the Monte Carlo. She was the sister of the legendary Stirling Moss and in 1963 married Swedish driver Erik Carlsson. After competing for marques such as Saab, Ford, Lancia and Renault Alpine, she retired in the seventies.
