Benny Melander

Benny Melander is a Swedish rally co-driver who competed in the World Rally Championship alongside drivers including Ingvar Carlsson, Kalle Grundel and Stig Blomqvist. In 1985 he finished third on the Acropolis Rally with Carlsson in a Group B Mazda RX-7.

In 1986 he partnered Kalle Grundel in the Ford RS200 and they finished third on the Swedish Rally, the model’s best WRC result. Ten years later he returned to the podium with Stig Blomqvist: they finished third on the 1996 RAC Rally in a Škoda Felicia Kit Car and won the two-litre category.
