Bernard Marreau (France, 1946) is a French rally raid co-driver and driver, known for forming alongside his brother Claude Marreau one of the most iconic duos of the early Dakar Rally. As a co-driver, he took part in the first editions of the Dakar, standing out for his navigational ability in extreme conditions. His greatest success came in 1982, when together with Claude he claimed the overall victory of the rally aboard an almost hand-built prepared Renault 20, defeating far more powerful factory teams. Prior to that triumph, the Marreau brothers had already proven their competitiveness with a third and a fifth place finish in 1980 and 1979, establishing themselves as specialists in long-distance desert racing. Bernard subsequently also competed as a driver, remaining closely linked to the world of rally raid.
