Henri Magne

Henri Magne (Brive, France, 9 May 1953 – Morocco, 5 June 2006) was a French co-driver specialising in rally raids. He competed in the Dakar Rally for more than two decades and spent an important part of his career with Mitsubishi.

Magne won the Dakar overall twice. His first victory came in 1997 alongside Kenjiro Shinozuka with Mitsubishi; the second came in 2000 alongside Jean-Louis Schlesser in a Schlesser-Renault buggy. He also achieved numerous results in other international rally-raid events. In the final years of his career he partnered Nani Roma with the works Mitsubishi team. He was killed during the 2006 Rally of Morocco after an accident in the Mitsubishi they were competing in near Ouarzazate.
